Support can be offered through emotional or practical help to enable the Carer to continue to care and keep their own identity within the community. This is achieved by listening and offering practical help in the form of respite, Group friendship or short breaks. The Co-ordinator is in contact with many other services and charities within the area and can provide an introduction to all other local support and facilities available. We encourage Carers to participate in relevant media discussions or conferences which will ensure that professional and elected members of the community are fully aware of the value of Carers in supporting the elderly in their own homes.
